Victim Services Division
The Navajo County Victim Services Division of the County Attorney's Office is committed
to assisting victims of any and all crimes committed in Navajo County. NCVS will
assist victims in understanding their rights according to the laws of the State
of Arizona, assist them in obtaining those rights in the legal system, assist them
in receiving information and referrals for resources, and in ensuring they are treated
with fairness, dignity, and respect.
We provide full scale prosecutor-based victim assistance, which includes criminal
justice support/advocacy, crisis counseling, emergency financial assistance, emergency
legal advocacy, follow-up contact, information and referral, notification services,
personal advocacy, and victim compensation assistance to the victims of crime prosecuted
by the County Attorney's Office. The division also provides victim compensation
services, information and referral, personal advocacy, crisis counseling, follow-up
contact, and emergency financial assistance to victims of federal crimes committed
on the Navajo, Hopi, and Apache Indian Reservations.
