
Alberto L. Peshlakai

Supervisor Alberto L. Peshlakai serves as District II Supervisor. Supervisor Peshlakai served as the Tribal Government Relations Director for Navajo County prior to being elected to the Navajo County Board of Supervisors, in November 2020. Supervisor Peshlakai joined Navajo County in 2008 as the Public Works Department/Planning & Zoning Secretary and then served as District II Transportation Project Manager for Public Works.
Prior to Navajo County, Supervisor Peshlakai was employed by the Navajo Nation Indian Wells Chapter. His career with Indian Wells Chapter offered advancement to become the Secretary/Treasurer of Indian Wells Chapter working alongside county, state, tribal, and federal offices for two terms.
Supervisor Peshlakai presently serves on the Winslow Indian Health Care Center, Inc. Board of Directors representing the Indian Wells community.
Supervisor Peshlakai has been a lifelong resident of Navajo County, residing in the Navajo Nation community of Indian Wells.
Supervisor Peshlakai serves Navajo County District II, which covers a portion of the Navajo Reservation and the Hopi Reservation; the portion of Holbrook North of I 40, Joseph City and the Winslow Levee; the communities of Hardrock, Blue Gap/Tachee, Dilkon, Greasewood Springs, Indian Wells, Jeddito, Low Mountain, Lower Greasewood, Teesto, Whippoorwill, and Whitecone. Supervisor Peshlakai also represents Hopi Villages of First Mesa comprised of Walpi, Sichomovi and Tewa. He also represents Mishongnovi, Supaulovi, Shongopavi, Kykotsmovi, Oraibi, Bacavi, and Hotevilla.
