Navajo County Deputy County Attorney Robert “Rob” Edwards has devoted more than 25 years to seeking justice for often the most innocent and helpless victims of our society. For his dedication and exemplary record, the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys’ Advisory Council awarded Edwards the 2023 APAAC Lifetime Achievement Prosecutor Award during its annual awards ceremony held on June 29.

Lakeside man sentenced to prison for 2022 shooting during domestic dispute

A Lakeside man was sentenced last week in Navajo County Superior Court for shooting a woman during a domestic dispute. On June 19, 2023, Jayton Ioviero, 26, was sentenced to two years in prison for disorderly conduct with a weapon, a class 6 dangerous felony.

The final defendant was sentenced this week in a 2021 case involving former Blue Ridge High School students who lured a victim to Show Low Lake to attack him. Easton Denton, 18, formerly of Lakeside, was sentenced to six months in jail and four years of supervised probation in Navajo County Superior Court on Wednesday, June 14. 

Former Tucson music teacher sentenced to prison for threat against Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers, store owners

A former Tucson music teacher, Donald Glenn Brown, was sentenced today in Navajo County Superior Court to 2.5 years in prison for an email threat he made last July against Arizona State Senator Wendy Rogers and the owners of the Trumped Store in Show Low.
