Welcome to Navajo County Justice Courts
As part of our commitment to making courts accessible to the public, any person not authorized to attend a proceeding typically open to the public may submit a request directly to the Court for permission to attend or to obtain an audio recording of the proceeding.

There are six Justice Courts located in Navajo County, which are presided over by an elected Justice of the Peace. The Justice Courts handle civil lawsuits where the amount in dispute is $10,000 or less, landlord and tenant controversies, small claims cases and the full range of civil and criminal traffic offenses, including DUIs. Justices of the Peace also resolve other types of misdemeanor allegations (e.g. shoplifting, writing bad checks, and violation of protective orders) and requests for orders of protection and injunctions against harassment.
