Welcome > Departments > Library District

The Library District works with the fourteen public libraries in Navajo County to improve and expand library services and materials that offer recreational, educational and cultural enrichment to the public. The Library District maintains an integrated Online Catalog searchable for all of the libraries’ holdings. Patrons may place holds online on materials from any library which has courier service to have the items brought to their closest library for checkout. Materials can also be renewed online, and questions or requests can be sent online to library staff.

The Library District maintains rotating collections of unabridged audiobooks, videos, DVDs, large print, Southwest, and Native American books, foreign language, comics and graphic novels, music CDs and other materials to provide additional variety and new materials in the Navajo County’s public libraries. New adult readers will find Literacy and English as a Second Language collections in each of the libraries.

From its website, Navajo County Library District provides access for library card holders to downloadable eBooks, eAudiobooks, and eMagazines to be read or listened to from a computer or handheld device. Databases enable users to search for journal articles, maps, medical information, foreign language learning, newspapers, and much more. The extensive Jobs & Careers page lists many Navajo County employers and provides a wealth of resources for jobseekers and business entrepreneurs.
