– After nearly two months serving as Interim County Manager, Glenn Kephart was offered the County Manager position outright during the Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, September 26th.
“This is the first time we’ve had to find a new County Manager in 14 years, and as a Board, we feel we chose the best candidate,” Chairman of the Board Jesse Thompson said. “Glenn has proven to be not only up to the task for this position, but a great fit for Navajo County. We know we can expect great work and professionalism from him, and we look forward to continuing the development of our region together.”
Mr. Kephart had been the Navajo County Public Works Director since June 2016 before stepping into the role of Interim County Manager on August 7th following the resignation of 14-year County Manager James Jayne.
“I am humbled and honored by this offer and look forward to helping shape the future of Navajo County,” Kephart said. “There is already a great team of dedicated public servants at Navajo County, and I look forward to helping maintain, foster and grow partnerships to create a bright future for our communities, residents and visitors.”
The offer was extended to Mr. Kephart following in person interviews with the position’s final candidates last week.
